I went to a reading today. Mike Young and Rachel Glaser read. I told my students to go. Some of them went and some of them wrote Mike’s autobiography and some of them wrote Rachel’s autobiography. After the reading Rachel gave me her book Pee on Water. I really like this book. I had already bought it. I decided to have a competition between two of my students for the copy Rachel Glaser gave me. The competition involved jumping as far as one can jump. One of them jumped a little further than the other one. It felt wrong rewarding the one who jumped furthest and not the other. I gave them each a copy of Rachel’s book. I now have no copies of her book. I will buy another one in the morning. You should buy a copy if you’ve ever jumped as far as you can jump.
